Inventory Control Analyst I
Location: Calgary, AB — Onsite
Worksite: Calgary, AB T2P 0G4
Contract Term: October 5, 2026 to October 5, 2027
Schedule: 40 hours per week; five days on, two days off
Pay Rate: $32.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
Training Location: Leduc, AB
Forklift Certification: Preferred
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst I to support inventory planning, shipment scheduling, and product availability. This is a junior-level support role suited to someone with strong Microsoft Excel skills, ERP experience, and an interest in inventory control and supply chain operations.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of a supervisor or manager while following established procedures to maintain accurate inventory records, support shipment planning, and help minimize inventory costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and revise shipment plans to support productive product distribution.
- Monitor inventory levels, production speed, and product demand.
- Help determine reorder levels to maintain product availability and reduce excess inventory costs.
- Prepare inventory reports and routine operational documentation.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Support periodic asset valuations and inventory-related financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP and inventory management systems.
- Identify inventory discrepancies and escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Follow established procedures, policies, and safety requirements.
- Provide general support to inventory control and supply chain activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience or education related to inventory control, logistics, supply chain, warehousing, business, or a similar field.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow defined procedures and work under supervision.
- Ability to manage routine reports, inventory records, and multiple priorities.
- Positive communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Calgary and complete initial training in Leduc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification.
- Experience performing cycle counts or inventory audits.
- Exposure to shipment scheduling, warehouse operations, or materials planning.
- Experience preparing inventory or financial reports.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment.
