As an Investigator, Research & Analytics, you’ll use your research, analytical, and investigative skills to uncover insights and solve complex information challenges for our clients. Reporting to the OSINT Team Lead, you’ll take on a diverse range of investigative assignments, conducting detailed and timely research and transforming information from multiple sources into clear, accurate, and meaningful findings. This is anewly created position, offering an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow the role from the ground up.

The position can be offeredfully remote within the Pacific Time Zone (PST)or on ahybrid basis in the Vancouver area, providing flexibility to work in the environment that best suits you. Conduct detailed background, asset, and corporate investigations using advanced internet research techniques, databases, and other investigative resources.

Conduct OSINT research across websites, social media, and other online platforms to identify, analyze, and document relevant information.



Locate and identify individuals across Canada using a combination of databases, online research, inquiries, and investigative techniques. Research potential intellectual property concerns through online investigation and, when required, site attendances.

Help identify key focal points, identifiers, and other intelligence to ensure surveillance and investigative resources are deployed effectively. Conduct all investigations in compliance with applicable privacy legislation, internal policies, and industry best practices governing open-source intelligence. Provide OSINT and investigative research support to our Surveillance and Risk Management teams as needed.

Keep current with emerging technologies, online platforms, investigative tools, industry trends, and best practices. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to share knowledge and strengthen investigative capabilities. Attend court appearances or legal proceedings when required.

A post-secondary education is preferred, particularly in related fields such as Criminology, Forensic Crime and Intelligence Analysis, Journalism, Sociology, Psychology, or similar discipline. At least 2 years of professional research and/or investigative experience. Completion of “Using the Internet as an Investigative Research Tool” training through Toddington International is preferred.





Candidates who have not yet completed the training must be willing to do so within two months of joining the team. A valid Private Investigator within the applicable province of employment. Access to a reliable vehicle licensed for business/commercial purposes is required.

An understanding of threat and risk assessment methodologies and analytics. Knowledge of the Canadian court system, insurance law, and privacy legislation is considered an asset. Exceptional written and verbal English skills are essential, including the ability to clearly communicate complex information and prepare high‑quality investigative reports.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced research, analytical, and report‑writing skills.

Hourly Rate: $26.00-$30.00 CAD per hour. Opportunity for paid overtime. Business casual environment.
