As an IT Assistant, you’ll provide day to day technical support to staff, helping ensure the organization’s technology systems run smoothly and securely. You will contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven environment by ensuring staff have the tools and technology they need to serve families and children effectively.

What You’ll Do

- Technical support and trouble shooting
- Hardware and software maintenance
- User account and access management
- Telecommunication and access management
- Network and connectivity support
- Documentation and reporting
- Training and user support
- Security and compliance

About You

You’re a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for supporting others navigate technical issues. You also enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in keeping technology running smoothly so all team members can do their best work

Must-Haves:

- Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience and/or knowledge of support desk environments
- Experience providing user support in Windows and cloud-based environment (e.g. Microsoft 365).
- Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting, printer set up,



and systems maintenance
- Proficient in installing, configuring and troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral devices
- Ability to manage user accounts, access levels, and perform routine backups and/or updates
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient, user-focused approach
- Ability to explain technical issues in plain language to non-technical users
- Highly organized, responsive, and capable to managing multiple support requests
- Physical ability to lift and/or move computer equipment at times in small spaces
- Valid Driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle, as traveling to various sites is required

Working with Us

Compensation starts at $21.86/hour, with increases based on experience and qualifications.

This position is a regular full-time position working 37.5 hours weekly based in our north Edmonton site.
