We are looking for a 5G Software Designer to join our Baseband Infrastructure team, which supports Ericsson's global telecommunications products based in Canada. Our platform provides the operating system (OS) and a Software Development Kit (SDK) on which radio applications are built, powering 5G, LTE, WCDMA, and GSM solutions worldwide.

* Work alongside hardware teams to support early silicon and board bring-up, using simulation and emulation to validate functionality and performance. Take ownership of end-to-end quality through unit and integration testing, CI pipelines, code reviews, static and dynamic analysis, and performance regression tracking. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Strong proficiency in C for performance-critical, multi-threaded systems, along with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms. Hands-on experience working with the Linux operating system. Familiarity with up-to-date CI/CD practices, build systems, and source control management tools such as Bazel, Jenkins, and Git/Gerrit.

Comfort working within Scrum and Agile team environments, with strong collaboration and communication skills in a distributed, global setting. The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Employees will also receive basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage at two-times annual base pay at no cost, as well as short-term disability coverage.
