We're seeking a Java Developer to join our Firm Market Risk Technology team. In this role, you will develop and enhance the firm's Market Risk Platform, building scalable, high-performance systems that support critical risk calculations and analytics across the global portfolio.

This is a hands-on role where you will spend a significant portion of your time designing, developing, and optimizing Java-based applications while contributing technical expertise within the team. You will work closely with Risk Managers, Analytics teams, senior leadership, and global technology partners to deliver solutions that support an evolving business and regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and support scalable Java-based applications and platform components.

- Build high-performance solutions for market risk calculations and analytics.

- Develop backend services and distributed computing solutions.

- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable long-term solutions.

- Collaborate with technology, risk, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Contribute to Agile development processes and engineering best practices.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,



Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Java development.

- Experience developing production-grade backend applications.

- Experience building scalable distributed systems and enterprise platforms.

- Solid understanding of software design principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

- Experience building REST APIs and backend services.

- Experience working with relational and/or document-oriented databases.

- Strong Linux/Unix experience.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

- Ability to translate business and analytical requirements into technical solutions.

- Financial Services, Market Risk, or FinTech experience.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $27.41/hour - $42.82/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
