GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION

One of the strategic orientations that Nexans pursues consists in capturing growth and differentiating its offer by escalading the value chain from the production of cables towards the provision of cutting-edge cable systems and services and solutions to better address the current and future needs of our partners and customers.

How You Make An Impact

Manage and develop Nexans' Connect business within Eastern Canada, with primary focus on Quebec and Atlantic Canada, through the electrical distributor channel under the leadership of our Eastern RSM.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with distributor branch managers, counter staff, and inside sales teams across the territory

Execute the regional sales plan for Eastern Canada in alignment with the direction set by the RSM East and National Sales Director, Connect.





Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing distributor accounts and with prospective distribution partners across Quebec and Atlantic Canada

Support share-of-wallet growth by promoting the full Connect product range and ensuring Nexans products are well represented at the branch level

Engage with electrical contractors and project influencers in the territory to generate demand and support distributor sell-through

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer activity, opportunities, and pipeline

Prepare and deliver product presentations, quotations, and proposals to distributor contacts

Monitor local competitor activity, pricing trends, and market developments across the territory and report findings to the RSM East

Participate in distributor training sessions, trade events, and product launches relevant to the Eastern Canada market

Collaborate with commercial operations to ensure timely order management and resolution of customer issues

Support the RSM East with reporting, territory analysis, and preparation of business reviews

You Will Be Expected To

Achieve and grow sales targets for the Eastern Canada territory, contributing to the overall Connect East region performance

Increase Nexans' share of wallet within existing distributor accounts across Quebec and Atlantic Canada through active product range promotion and relationship development

Build a well-developed pipeline of opportunities across distributor and contractor segments in the territory





Establish Nexans as a recognized and preferred supplier at the branch level across key distributor locations in Quebec and Atlantic Canada

Maintain a high level of market coverage and customer contact activity across the full Eastern Canada territory

Provide accurate and timely territory reporting to support regional planning and forecasting

Key Competencies & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

2-5 years of sales or customer-facing experience, ideally within wire and cable, electrical products, or industrial distribution

Familiarity with the Quebec and Atlantic Canada electrical distributor landscape and contractor market is a strong asset

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive commercial outcomes in a field sales environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with distributor personnel and contractors

Bilingual in French and English — written and spoken — required for this role given the primary Quebec focus

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a broad territory independently with minimal supervision

Commercially curious with a drive to grow market share and develop customer relationships

Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools

Valid' driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Eastern Canada as required

Cable or electrical industry experience is an asset
