Dionamix Scientific is a Canadian life sciences instrumentation company developing advanced automation, fluid-handling, and analytical instrumentatin.

We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer to support the development of precision scientific instruments. This role focuses primarily on CAD modeling, manufacturing drawings, prototype assembly, and documen t aton.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers to convert design concepts into detailed CAD models and manufacturing documentation while supporting prototype builds and testing activiies.

This position is an excellent prospect for a recent graduate or early-career mechanical designer looking to gain hands-on experience in scientific instrument d e velomnt.

Key R es ponsiilities

- Create and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies using SoidWorks.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings for machined, sheet metal, and pu r chased cmponents.
- Generate assembly drawings and technical docmentation.
- Maintain and update Bil l s of Materals (BOMs).
- Incorporate engineering change requests and design revisions into existing models nd drawings.
- Assist with prototype assembly a nd mechanica integration.
- Support design verification activities by documenting test setups and recordin test results.
- Coordinate with machine shops and suppliers regarding drawing revision s and fabricatin requirements.
- Organize and maintain CAD files, engineering documentation, and evision history.




- Assist senior engineers with product d evelopment activtes a s required.

Reqired Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Experience w ith SolidWorks or siilar 3D CAD software.
- Ability to create detailed anufacturing drawings.
- Basic understanding of mec h anical assemblies and anufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail ad organizational skills.
- Hands-on aptitude an d willingness to work wit prototypes and hardware.
- Good communication skillsand ability to work with i small engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

T he following are considere assets but are not required:
- Experience with scientific instrments or laboratory equipment.
- Experience withmachined and sheet metalparts.
- Familiarity with BOMmanagement and revision control.
- Basic u n derstanding of motors, sensors,and electromechanical assemblies.
- Experienc assembling mechani c al prototypes.

Familiarity wit D printing and raid prototyping.

Compensation

- Starting salary: $18-22 CA/Hr
- Performance review after probation period
- Potential increase to $25-28 CA
