Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lab QC Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and consistency of our recycled materials through meticulous testing, data collection, and analysis. Your contributions will support our commitment to excellence and help maintain our reputation as a leader in sustainable plastics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

- Perform quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using laboratory equipment and standardized procedures
- Collect, record, and analyze data accurately to monitor product quality and identify trends or deviations
- Conduct detailed analysis of test results to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety protocols, and proper calibration of testing instruments
- Document all testing activities thoroughly in reports and logs for traceability and review




- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and recommend improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights based on test data

Skills

- Solid knowledge of quality control processes within a laboratory environment
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis skills, and mathematical calculations related to lab testing
- Laboratory experience with relevant testing equipment and techniques for material analysis
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision in documentation
- Ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a laboratory setting

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Handling small samples and operating lab equipment
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs / 11 kg)
- Comfortable working near production areas (noise, heat, dust)

Working Conditions

- Laboratory within an industrial plastic recycling facility
- Exposure to plastic resins, additives, and testing chemicals
- May require flexible hours depending on production needs
