Experienced Landscape Architect & Field Quality Coordinator - OALA and BCIN Required Landscaping Pay: CA$24–CA$30 per hour, based on experience Landscaping is hiring an experienced Landscape Architect to design residential landscapes and help ensure each project is built according to the approved plans and our quality standards. You will create detailed landscape and planting plans, visit properties and active job sites, coordinate with project managers, crews, and suppliers, and oversee design quality from concept through completion. Full membership in good standing with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA) A portfolio of completed landscape design work What You’ll DoLandscape Architecture and Design Develop creative and practical residential landscape concepts Produce detailed site plans, planting plans, construction drawings, and client presentations Conduct property visits to collect measurements, photographs, elevations, and site information Consider grading, drainage, construction access, materials, maintenance, and budget Revise designs based on client feedback, site conditions, permit requirements, and budget Provide project managers and crews with clear, buildable drawings and layouts Field Quality Control Visit active and recently completed projects Photograph and document required corrections Communicate issues clearly to project managers and crews Assist with final inspections and project closeouts Crew and Supplier Coordination Coordinate design requirements with project managers and installation crews Build positive relationships with nurseries and material suppliers Confirm plant, material, and product availability Help coordinate orders, deliveries, substitutions,
and installation schedules Visit suppliers and transport samples or small materials when required Safely drive a company pickup truck Full OALA membership with the legal right to use the Landscape Architect title in Ontario Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and municipal requirements Strong understanding of grading, drainage, planting design, and landscape construction Proficiency with relevant 2D or 3D design software Strong client, crew, and supplier communication skills Ability to manage projects and follow tasks through to completion Comfortable driving a pickup truck and visiting active construction sites Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program At least three years of professional residential landscape design experience Experience designing pools, cabanas, decks, outdoor structures, grading, and drainage Experience working with municipal planning and building departments Experience coordinating with engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers Experience inspecting residential landscape construction Familiarity with project budgeting and material takeoffs Crews receive complete plans and installation details Plants and materials are available when production requires them Completed projects closely follow the approved design Projects consistently meet V.Landscaping’s quality standards CA$24–CA$30 per hour, based on experience Full-time, year-round employment A role combining professional design with hands-on field involvement Opportunities to see your designs become completed landscapes Direct collaboration with clients, project managers, crews, and suppliers Room to grow into a senior design, quality-control, or operations position In office parking A portfolio of residential landscape design work How many years of professional residential landscape design experience do you have?
