Together
Come join our team and make a difference in the lives of patients and families at the Peter Lougheed Hospital The Emergency Department at the Peter Lougheed Centre is entering an exciting new chapter. With our state-of-the-art expansion nearing completion, we’re preparing to open at full capacity in early 2026—marking a major milestone in Calgary’s healthcare landscape. To support this growth, we’re seeking skilled and passionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. As one of Calgary’s largest urban emergency departments, we care for patients across the full spectrum of acuity. Our interdisciplinary team thrives in a quick-paced, collaborative environment, delivering high-quality, compassionate care. We’re looking for LPNs who are clinically strong, resilient, and adaptable—ready to excel in high-pressure situations. Ideal candidates will bring excellent communication, assessment, and prioritization skills, along with flexibility and a commitment to patient-centered care. Reporting to the Unit Manager, LPNs are essential members of our emergency team, providing care to patients of varying acuity. You’ll be accountable to the public for your own practice, ensuring it meets legislative requirements, and the standards set by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality,
patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.
