Elevate patient care in an acute setting as a Licensed Practical Nurse at U of A Hospital. Engage in comprehensive surgical care for orthopedic, spine, and general surgery patients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the 3G3 Surgery Program, you will utilize critical thinking and nursing processes to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Your role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and their families. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet various health needs effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional states
- Document and report changes in patient conditions
- Assist with daily living activities for patient welfare
- Educate patients and families on care procedures
- Advocate for patient needs within the care team Requirements:
- Accredited practical nurse education program completion
- Registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta
- Current BCLS-HCP certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment Deliver compassionate and effective nursing care while supporting surgical patients at U of A Hospital.
