- Lead and execute Nordex Canada's port operations strategy supporting utility-scale wind projects across North America

- Manage vessel discharge operations, cargo handling activities, storage yards, and inventory operations

- Ensure safe receipt, storage, preservation, tracking, and release of wind turbine components

- Develop and maintain operational procedures, work instructions, and best practices

- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, municipal, port authority, environmental, and safety regulations

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization

- Conduct audits, inspections, operational reviews, and incident investigations

- Monitor operational risks and implement mitigation plans

- Coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Transportation, Procurement, Engineering, Materials Management, and external logistics partners

- Manage inventory control systems and ensure component traceability and inventory accuracy

- Oversee contractor performance and vendor relationships, including stevedoring contractors, transportation providers, warehouses, and terminal operators

- Support project schedules through planning cargo releases and transportation activities

- Develop and manage operational budgets and financial forecasts

- Establish, monitor, and report key operational performance indicators

- Lead, coach, and develop employees and contractors supporting port operations

- Travel regularly to ports, laydown yards, project sites, and storage locations

- Support strategic infrastructure planning and future capacity requirements

- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field

- Minimum five (5) years of experience in port operations, maritime logistics,



project cargo logistics, heavy-lift transportation, industrial logistics, or renewable energy logistics

- Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience managing teams, contractors, vendors, or multi-site operations

- Experience managing vessel discharge operations, storage facilities, inventory management systems, and transportation interfaces

- Robust knowledge of logistics operations, cargo handling, contractor management, and supply chain principles

- Advanced organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and logistics or inventory management systems

- Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States up to 50% of the time

- Valid passport or ability to obtain one

- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record

- Ability to work in changing weather conditions and active industrial environments including ports, terminals, warehouses, and construction sites

- Ability to satisfy all applicable site access, fitness-for-duty, and safety requirements

- Experience supporting utility-scale wind energy projects

- Experience with project cargo, oversized freight, heavy-lift transportation, or renewable energy logistics

- Experience with HSEQ, Quality Management Systems, and continuous improvement methodologies

- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis





- Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain necessary travel documentation and authorizations for cross-border travel to the United States

- Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures

- Ability to properly use applicable safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and hard hats

- Speak and understand English fluently

- Bilingual English/French language skills considered an asset

- Successful candidates may be required to complete employment verification, background screening, and other permitted pre-employment requirements
