Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing production and installation equipment used in the manufacturing and servicing of windows and doors. Day-to-day tasks include conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical issues, and completing timely repairs to reduce downtime.

The Maintenance

Technician will document maintenance activities, support safety and compliance standards, and coordinate with operations and production teams to ensure equipment reliability.



The role may also involve assisting with equipment upgrades, parts inventory management, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance to diagnose issues and implement proactive solutions
- Experience with Industrial Maintenance, including working with production machinery and related tools
- Knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems relevant to manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders
- Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to relevant occupational health and safety regulations
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or trade qualification in a related field is an asset
- Previous experience in building products, construction, or manufacturing settings is considered an advantage
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and working with tools for extended periods
