Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Maintenance Technician to oversee, repair, and maintain the electrical systems, automated controls, and critical infrastructure of our commercial greenhouse facility. You will ensure maximum uptime, energy efficiency, and operational safety for crop production systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical power distribution, backup generators, transformers, and circuit panels across the facility.
- Troubleshoot and service automated greenhouse control systems (climate controllers, irrigation pumps, automated shading, supplementary LED/HPS lighting, and ventilation fans).
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and sensors.
- Diagnose electrical faults, wiring issues, and system failures using multimeter and diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, OSHA standards, and safety regulations.




- Collaborate with the facility maintenance and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Respond to emergency calls or equipment failures outside standard operational hours when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

- High school diploma or GED required; Technical degree, apprenticeship completion, or Journeyman Electrician license strongly preferred.
- 2–4+ years of experience as an electrician or maintenance technician in an industrial, commercial, or agricultural setting.
- Strong working knowledge of standard electrical codes, 3-phase power systems, high/low voltage systems, and control wiring.
- Experience with automated greenhouse systems (e.g., Argus, Priva, Hoogendoorn) is a major plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders/scaffolds, and work in warm or humid greenhouse conditions.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
