Manufacturing Engineer

Type: Permanent - Full Time

Start Date: ASAP

Location: 3-125 Adelaide St. Winnipeg, MB (subject to change)

Compensation: $70,000 (based on experience)

The Role

Win-Shield Devices is seeking a highly driven, hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to help establish and scale the manufacturing processes for a new line of products. In this role, you will bridge the gap between R&D; and full-scale production. You will be responsible for designing the assembly processes, sourcing and validating capital equipment, and building the jigs and fixtures required to produce everything from low volume certification prototypes to full-scale production runs.

Requested Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a degree in a similar field or equivalent experience.
- Experience with 3D CAD for tooling, jig, and fixture design.
- Experience with drafting engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of tolerancing and Design for Manufacturing (e.g. CNC
- machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)
- Hands-on experience working with hand/power tools and assembly.
- 2 years of direct experience working on manufacturing equipment.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with creating structured manufacturing documentation (flow
- charts, work instructions) and process qualification.
- Experience with plastics manufacturing including injection molding.
- Experience working within an ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or other regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Plan, specify, procure,



and commission the capital equipment required for the
- manufacturing and assembly line.
- Utilize 3D CAD to design, test, and fabricate custom assembly aids, nests, and
- R&D; jigs for initial prototypes, eventually scaling these designs into robust
- fixtures for full-scale production.
- Work closely with Quality Engineers, Assembly Technicians, and external
- technical advisors to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation within a regulated
- Quality Management System (QMS). This includes authoring Manufacturing
- Plans, Process Flow Charts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and
- detailed Work Instructions.
- Lead the assembly of initial low-volume Test & Evaluation (T&E;) units.
- Aid in the execution of equipment and process qualification for all new
- manufacturing equipment to ensure repeatable production.
- Work directly with the product development team to provide Design for
- Manufacturing and Assembly input, identifying design changes that improve
- manufacturability, assembly consistency, quality, cost, and scalability.
