We are a leading manufacturer of compressed gasket sheeting, compression molding, lathe cut gaskets and rubber rollers. We are currently looking for candidates to fulfill a general labourer/operator position.

The ideal candidate should be able to work with minimum supervision and have excellent time management skills while paying attention to details. The selected individual will be responsible for supporting the compression moulding gasket manufacturing business by helping with general manufacturing requirements such as running injection and compression moulding presses, extruding rubber, quality control verification using industry specific manufacturing equipment and other duties as required.

Experience is an asset; however, the selected candidate can be trained.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy industry-specific machines in a fast-paced environment
- Detailed oriented trimming and curing of rubber collared molds




- Quality control management, able to identify defects and possible repairs to avoid waste
- Ability to use basic measuring tools and to calculate fractions

General Requirements

- High School Diploma (preferred)
- Valid "G" class licence in Ontario
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent work ethic
- Basic math skills
- Must pass police background check
- Must abide by all health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices.
- Maintain good working relationships with others.
- Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence for Ontario (preferred)
