C. Bourgeois Diesel Services Ltd. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Marine & Truck Mechanic to join our team in Chéticamp.

We are looking for a Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic, but apprentices who have completed Level 2 or equivalent will also be considered. This position involves a mix of truck and marine diesel work, including some road/service calls.

Responsibilities

- Service, diagnose and repair trucks and marine diesel engines
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting
- Complete road/service calls as required
- Work independently and as part of our team
- Be available for some Saturdays during fishing season (late March to the end of July)

Qualifications
- Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic preferred
- Apprentices with Level 2 or equivalent will be considered
- Diesel and mechanical experience is a strong asset
- Valid driver’s licence
- Dependable and able to work independently




- Willing to work on both marine and truck equipment

Hours & Perks
- 48 hours per week, approximately 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Overtime paid after 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week (weekly threshold changing to 44 hours)
- Additional overtime available during busy periods
- 4% vacation pay
