High Reach has served the Canadian heavy equipment market for over 40 years. We sell, rent, and service lifting equipment, and we design and manufacture our own line of high-capacity industrial forklifts right here in Oakville.

We're looking for an experienced SolidWorks designer to join our team on a contract basis and support our engineering and manufacturing work.

Responsibilities

- Update and revise 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for existing products
- Work through engineering change requests and turn shop feedback into accurate drawing revisions
- Review drawings for fit, clearance, and tolerance issues, and flag items that need engineering review
- Maintain an organized drawing library with proper revision control
- Prepare drawing packages and part lists for fabrication vendors
- Work closely with our shop team to make sure drawings match how products are actually built

Requirements
- Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology
- 3+ years of hands-on SolidWorks experience in a manufacturing environment (parts, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, and detailed fabrication drawings)
- Experience with heavy equipment, structural steel fabrication, or similar industrial products
- Solid understanding of GD&T;, fits and tolerances,



and weld symbols
- Organized and self-directed, able to work through a list of changes with minimal supervision
- Comfortable spending time on the shop floor

Your work goes directly into equipment built in-house, and you'll see the results on the shop floor. You will be working with a small team where your input gets heard. There is also the potential for a longer-term role for the right person. Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
