Provide essential support in medical travel with the Government of Nunavut for Inuit individuals. This role prioritizes the accurate preparation of travel documents and client communication. As a Medical Travel Clerk, you will report to the Supervisor of Health Programs.
Your primary responsibilities include preparing and verifying travel documents, notifying clients about their appointments, and troubleshooting travel issues. This position is vital for coordinating medical travel effectively and engaging with the community. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medical travel referral documents for Supervisor review
- Verify accuracy of travel documents with necessary signatures
- Notify clients about upcoming travel arrangements and appointments
- Troubleshoot issues like cancelled flights or appointments
- Liaise with case managers about appointments and approvals Requirements:
- Grade 10 education with two years of clerical experience
- Fluency in Inuktitut required
- Knowledge of Inuit culture and community
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks
- Experience in northern cross-cultural environments preferred Become a vital link for Inuit in medical travel support within the Government of Nunavut.
