Become a key contributor to mental health education with CMHA-WECB in Ontario. This temporary position focuses on promoting mental health awareness through workshops and community outreach initiatives. As a Mental Health Educator, you'll develop and facilitate educational programs aimed at mental health promotion, understanding illnesses, and preventing suicide.
You'll collaborate with local organizations to enhance workplace mental health and foster a culture of well-being in Windsor and Essex County. This role is critical for enhancing community resilience in uncertain times. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and promote educational presentations and workshops
- Coordinate third-party mental health training programs
- Facilitate educational seminars on grief and bereavement
- Attend community health events and fairs as a representative
- Prepare resource materials and provide supportive counselling Requirements:
- University degree in Social Work, Nursing, or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in mental health
- Proven public speaking and presentation skills
- Bilingualism is an asset
