Provide critical mental health support at Prairie Mountain Health as a Community Mental Health Worker. Engage with clients, assess needs, and develop recovery plans in both community and facility settings. As a Community Mental Health Worker (CMHW), you will offer essential services and act as the primary counselor for clients in need.
This role requires solid therapeutic skills, knowledge of trauma-informed care, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders. Proficiency in crisis intervention and a commitment to recovery-oriented practices are essential for maximizing client independence. Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with clients and families
- Collect and review psychosocial information and assessments
- Assess client strengths and resource needs
- Develop intervention plans tailored to individual recovery goals
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Psychiatric Nursing or Social Work
- Current licensure in good standing
- Two years’ experience in a mental health setting
- Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and ASIST
