About Potash And The Jansen Project

Located about 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jansen is set to become one of the world’s largest potash mines.
With a US$15.3 billion investment, it marks the biggest private investment in Saskatchewan’s history, and a bold step forward for BHP in Canada. But Jansen is more than a mine; it’s a long-term opportunity to build something meaningful. During construction, it will create around 5,500 jobs and once operations are fully ramped up, 900 permanent roles.

For those not living locally, BHP provides relocation assistance to the local Jansen area. Alternatively, you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of our onsite camp accommodation at Discovery Lodge during your shifts. BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required.
Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.
