About the Role

Kermode Crane & Rigging is a new and growing crane company with a strong pipeline of upcoming work. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Journeyman / Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator to operate our Link-Belt HTC-8675 on projects starting mid-October. This is a excellent opportunity for a person semi-retired.

This is casual/contract work with the potential for ongoing opportunities as our workload grows.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate a Link-Belt HTC-8675 75-ton hydraulic truck crane
- Perform pre-operational inspections and complete required documentation
- Work with site supervisors, riggers, and signalers to complete lifts safely and efficiently
- Follow all WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety procedures
- Assist with basic maintenance and keep the crane job-ready
- Mentor and support apprentice operators as needed

Requirements

- Valid Red Seal / Journeyman Mobile Crane Operator certification




- Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence (air endorsement preferred)
- Proven experience operating a Link-Belt HTC-8675 (or very similar 70–90 ton truck crane)
- Strong knowledge of load charts, lift planning, and safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small crew
- Reliable, safety-focused, and professional attitude

Assets

- Experience with other Link-Belt or similar truck/rough-terrain cranes
- Willingness to help train and mentor apprentice operators
- Flexibility for varying project locations and schedules
