Steveston Veterinary Hospital is a family-run clinic that has proudly served our community for over 40 years. We are a busy, fast-paced 4-doctor practice dedicated to providing exceptional medical care and truly outstanding client service. We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to work directly alongside one of our veterinarians and become an essential part of our team.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Position: Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

What You’ll Do

You’ll use your full range of technical skills, including (but not limited to):

- Taking and processing radiographs
- Providing attentive care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring and administering treatments
- Collecting and preparing samples for bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
- Recording patient history and TPRs
- Maintaining thorough and accurate medical records
- Calculating dosages and administering medications under veterinary direction
- Educating clients on nutrition, preventive care, and treatment plans
- Preparing and dispensing take-home medications
- Assisting with treatment discussions and reviewing estimates
- Performing treatments such as wound care, ear cleaning, and bandaging




- Assisting with sedation and monitoring patients for diagnostic and medical procedures

Who We’re Looking For A dedicated RVT who takes pride in their work and wants to grow in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate:

- Holds a valid Registered Veterinary Technician diploma
- Has at least 1 year of experience as an RVT
- Brings a positive, “can-do” attitude to every shift
- Is patient, empathetic, and calm with pets and owners
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Is reliable, organized, and professional
- Has excellent communication and client-care skills
- Is eager to continue learning and developing new skills
