Role Description The Instrumentation & Control Technician – Systems Integration & Field Support is a full-time, on-site role based in Cambridge, ON. This role is responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for air dryers, blowers, compressors, and vacuum systems. Day-to-day activities include wiring and configuring control panels, integrating sensors and monitoring devices, performing start-up and functional testing, and providing field support to resolve system issues at customer sites.

The technician will interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs;,



perform diagnostic checks, and document service activities and system modifications. Collaboration with engineering and production teams, as well as transparent communication with customers regarding technical issues and recommended corrective actions, is an essential part of the role.

Qualifications

- Strong troubleshooting skills for control systems, instrumentation panels, and electro-mechanical equipment.
- Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance practices for compressors, dryers, blowers, and related industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in instrumentation, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and dew point monitoring devices.
- Working knowledge of electricity, including wiring, control circuits, and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Experience with calibration of measurement and control devices to ensure accurate, reliable system performance.
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and basic industrial automation concepts is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, and equipment manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely in industrial environments.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for field service within the region as required.
