THE OPPORTUNITY.
Brockville General Hospital (BGH) is inviting a forward-thinking Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join their dynamic team of three specialists. Operating within the Women and Children’s Program, you will provide critical surgical and obstetrical care to a community that values your expertise. This role is unique in its integration with the Queen's University Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, allowing you to mentor medical students and residents in a clinical environment that is up-to-date, well-equipped, and deeply collaborative.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Provide high-quality clinical care in both obstetrics and gynaecology, utilizing BGH’s state-of-the‑art diagnostic and surgical facilities.
- Perform advanced laparoscopic surgery, bringing minimally invasive solutions to a high‑volume clinical environment.
- Participate in a sustainable 1-in-4 on‑call rotation, supported by neonatal and paediatric specialists.
- Lead undergraduate and postgraduate medical education,
shaping the future of the specialty as an Adjunct Professor with Queen’s University.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Internal Medicine, Perinatal Mental Health, and specialized nursing units.
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE (COMPETENCIES).
- Licensure: Must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- Certification: Must hold certification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Surgical Skills: Essential expertise in laparoscopic surgery and a commitment to surgical excellence.
- Collaboration: A proven ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and a passion for clinical teaching.
