Haztech is looking for a qualified and professional Physician to join our healthcare team as an Independent Contractor, providing occupational health and physician services to Haztech clients and patients. This is a great opportunity for a physician interested in occupational medicine, workplace health, and adaptable clinical work while partnering with a growing North American healthcare and industrial safety organization.

Position Details

This is an independent contractor opportunity with services provided during mutually agreed-upon scheduled times. The position includes a combination of in-clinic occupational health services and telemedicine support, depending on licensing and operational requirements. The Physician will provide a minimum of one half-day (4 hours) per week at a Haztech Health Centre to perform physician services and related occupational health duties.

Position Overview

As an Occupational Health Physician with Haztech, you will provide medical assessments and clinical services supporting workplace health, injury management, pre-employment requirements, and occupational medical needs.

Your responsibilities may include

- Conducting Pre-Employment and Pre-Access Medical Assessments
- Completing post-injury assessments for Haztech clients and personnel
- Providing recommendations and completing modified-duty and return-to-work documentation
- Preparing medical disposition letters as required
- Reviewing and signing off on chest X-rays and blood work
- Conducting physical and other occupational medical examinations
- Providing telemedicine assessments where appropriately licensed
- Participating in reasonable follow-up related to occupational or employment-related medical concerns
- Maintaining accurate, confidential clinical documentation and complying with applicable privacy requirements

What You'll Bring

- A valid licence to independently practice medicine in the applicable province(s)




- Registration in good standing with the applicable College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Current Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership or appropriate professional liability insurance
- Ability to provide ethical, professional, and independent clinical care
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- An interest in occupational health, workplace medicine, injury management, and preventative healthcare
- Ability to work collaboratively with Haztech clients, healthcare professionals, and operational teams
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and applicable professional and regulatory standards

Successful candidates will also be required to provide applicable licensing and professional documentation, proof of liability coverage, and a recent criminal record check including vulnerable sector verification.

Compensation

This is a fee-for-service independent contractor position, with compensation based on the services provided, including physician medical examinations, telemedicine consultations, and other mutually agreed-upon clinical services.
