Full-time | Tuesday–Saturday | $18–$20/hour | Two locations, 3 minutes apart

** Location: Concordia Eye Centre – Reenders Avenue

** Additional Location: Our second clinic at 200-1100 Concordia Avenue, just 3 minutes away

Because we have two conveniently located clinics, there may be occasional scheduling at either location. The two clinics are only about three minutes apart, and schedules are provided in advance whenever possible.

Concordia Eye Centre is a busy, growing optometry practice with two Winnipeg locations, and we're looking for a friendly, reliable Optometric Assistant to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, likes variety in their day, and wants to build their skills in eye care.

You won't be stuck doing the same task all day. You'll be involved in pre-testing, diagnostic imaging, patient care and reception, with the opportunity to learn about the many different areas of optometry.

Our clinics use modern technology including OCT, Optomap, Eidon retinal imaging, meibography, axial length and visual field testing, so there is plenty to learn for someone who is interested in growing within the profession.

We are looking for someone who is warm, confident with patients, organized, dependable and willing to learn. Previous optometry or medical experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

Pre-Testing & Diagnostics

- Perform pre-testing and diagnostic testing including OCT, visual fields, retinal imaging,



meibography and other testing as trained
- Prepare patients for their examination and accurately document results
- Maintain and prepare diagnostic equipment

Patient Care

- Welcome and guide patients through their visit
- Obtain relevant medical and ocular history
- Provide a friendly, professional patient experience
- Assist with patient education and follow-up as directed by the optometrist

Reception & Clinic Support

- Check patients in and out
- Answer phones and schedule/confirm appointments
- Process payments, insurance and third-party claims
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with general clinic administration

Teamwork

- Work closely with optometrists, opticians and other team members
- Help keep the clinic running smoothly and contribute to a positive team environment

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
