Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paint and Coating Chemist to join our innovative research and development team. In this role, you will lead efforts in formulating, testing, and improving paints, coatings, and related products. Responsibilities

- Develop recent paint and coating formulations by applying principles of chemistry, material science, and surface technology.
- Conduct comprehensive research to optimize product performance, durability, and environmental compliance.
- Perform laboratory experiments including mixing, testing, and analyzing raw materials and finished products.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency, safety, and adherence to industry standards across production batches.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to scale laboratory formulations into full-scale production processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of experiments, test results, and formulation changes for regulatory compliance and knowledge sharing.




- Stay current with industry trends, new materials, and regulatory requirements impacting paint and coating products.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
- Proven laboratory experience working with paints, coatings or similar chemical products.
- Strong knowledge of formulation techniques, quality control processes, and research methodologies.
- Experience in product development from concept through commercialization within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot formulation issues effectively.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory standards relevant to chemical manufacturing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.
