Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time CAD Specialist, focusing on SolidWorks design work one day each week! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your CAD expertise in a flexible, project-driven environment. You’ll collaborate with engineers and designers to create precise 3D models and detailed schematics that bring innovative concepts to life.

Responsibilities

- Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Experience in sheet metal design and welding is necessary.
- Assist in creating technical schematics and drawings for manufacturing or construction purposes
- Collaborate with team members to interpret design concepts and translate them into CAD files
- Review and revise CAD models based on feedback, maintaining high standards of quality and precision
- Support the integration of CAD designs with other software tools used to fabricate the sheet metal parts




- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements
- Maintain organized digital files of CAD projects for easy access and version control

Qualifications

- Proven experience working with SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drafting
- Familiarity with other CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, MicroStation is a plus
- Solid understanding of schematics, welding symbols, technical drawings, and drafting principles.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate CAD models
- Basic knowledge of 2D animation techniques is advantageous but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
