JOB POSTING: HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER
We are seeking a team-oriented and strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this role provides expert guidance and operational support to leaders and employees across clinical and corporate programs.
The Human Resources Business
Partner will act as a trusted advisor on employee and labour relations, performance management, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, workforce planning, recruitment processes, HR data analysis, and organizational change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic HR consultation, coaching, and advice to leaders and employees across assigned client groups.
- Support complex employee and labour relations matters, including collective agreement interpretation, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, grievances, discipline, accommodations, attendance management, and return-to-work processes.
- Partner with leadership teams to support workforce planning, organizational change, policy implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee and support recruitment processes in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, ensuring consistent and compliant hiring practices.
- Analyze HR data, prepare reports, identify trends, and present findings to support decision-making and program improvement.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, training, and departmental initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with applicable employment legislation, organizational policies, accreditation requirements, and health and safety responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CHRP or CHRL designation, or eligibility for candidacy, is preferred.
- Membership with the Human Resources Professionals Association is preferred.
- Three to five years of Human Resources and Labour Relations experience, preferably in a hospital or unionized healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment-related legislation and HR best practices, including labour relations, human rights, pay equity, occupational health and safety, workplace safety and insurance, and employment standards.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence others, and work effectively with leaders, employees, union representatives, and external partners.
- High level of organization, initiative, discretion, sound judgment, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with commitment to client service and continuous quality improvement.
Working Conditions This position works primarily in standard office conditions, with minimal travel required. Flexibility may be required to support operational needs.
