Location: Western Zone, Yarmouth Regional Hospital Department: OPWZ Strat Frailty Network Leaders Temporary Hourly FT long-assignment (100%) x 1 Union: CUPE Healthcare Position Posting Closing Date: 4-Sep-26 The Physiotherapist works under the supervision of the Manager of Seniors Western Zone and is a member of the interdisciplinary Seniors Care Team providing service primarily in the emergency department and community setting. The Physiotherapist participates in the planning, development and provision of physiotherapy services to support seniors and enhance their independence and function at home. The Physiotherapist works to their full scope of practice as an independent practitioner within the team.

The Physiotherapist provides cooperative, client centered care across the continuum, supporting the physical well-being of all individuals (includes patients, families, groups, populations and communities). This position includes considerable collaboration within the team and with community partners. The PT may also contribute to the clinical education of Physiotherapy students and related health disciplines.

The Physiotherapist is responsible for adhering to Nova Scotia Health policies and procedures and to the professional standards of their licensing body, the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists. Bachelor's degree or entry level master program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university Membership with the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Regulator (Provincial licensing body)
