Our Field

Operations team is currently seeking a candidate for a Plant Operator position at Attachie in the greater Fort St. Reporting to the Area Foreman, you will provide direct guidance and support to operating staff and contractors to consistently meet or exceed expectations in the following areas: health and safety, production, operating costs, corporate values, environment, training, regulatory, and emergency response while in care and control of the field. You will also be responsible for providing operational support to the assets, including monitoring and troubleshooting the safe operation of the plant facilities, wells, gas gathering systems, and compressor stations.

Monitor the plant for any issues and make changes as necessary to accommodate fluctuations in input rates Responsible for the safe operation and routine maintenance of high-pressure gas wells, and gathering systems including pipeline routine pigging operations Record and report on flaring, shutdowns, heat changes,



and other production reporting as required Responsible for isolation and permitting activities in a large industrial setting Work cross functionally with the construction and maintenance teams to make any changes in the plant Must follow and apply the site’s safe work procedures Must be prepared to respond to an emergency and follow the site’s emergency response plan The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry and possess a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate Experience working in a high-pressure gas processing field with a thorough understanding of gas and liquid processes Experience with dehydration equipment, transfer pumps, plunger lifts, and compression, and experience with condensate stabilization is an asset Demonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of automated operations systems Ability to work overtime and respond off hours as part of an “On Call” rotation requiring candidates to currently reside in the greater Fort St. An chance to be part of delivering responsible energy by developing and growing your career with us A market-competitive and pay-for-performance total compensation plan, including eligibility to participate in our bonus and long-term incentive programs Top-tier benefits, wellness/healthcare spending accounts and savings plans A culture of caring and high performance Meaningful work that makes a difference in the Canadian energy industry Shift schedule for this role is 7 days on and 7 days off, working both day and night shifts, 12-hours per day As this role is considered safety sensitive, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing, and a fitness to work test The base wage range for this position is $36.00 to $57.00 CAD. Additionally, all permanent employees are eligible to participate in ARC’s competitive bonus, long-term incentive, savings plan, and benefits programs ARC Resources Ltd. is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Shell and will continue to operate largely as a standalone business for a period of time before fully integrating.
