Position Overview The Client is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the delivery of digital credential solutions. The successful candidate will bring strong Agile product leadership, user-centred design, technical knowledge, enterprise mobile application experience, and digital identity expertise .
The Product Manager will collaborate with engineering, UX, DevOps, architecture, policy, business, and external stakeholders to define product direction, manage delivery, and support the development of a secure and interoperable digital credential ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile product delivery for digital credential solutions, including iterative design, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog prioritization, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Apply user-centred design principles and incorporate research, analytics, accessibility requirements, and user feedback into product decisions.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business needs, technical capabilities, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Lead workshops, design sprints, and alignment sessions across product, engineering, UX, DevOps, policy, and architecture teams.
- Remove delivery blockers and manage dependencies across internal and external stakeholders.
- Define and monitor product KPIs and success metrics, including adoption, credential issuance, and trust-related measures.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, risks, trade-offs, and performance considerations across mobile wallet, agent, backend, and related ecosystem components.
- Build strong relationships with partner ministries,
industry organizations, governance bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate complex product and technical concepts effectively to executives, business teams, developers, policy teams, and external partners.
- Provide product leadership related to Verifiable Credentials, security, privacy, interoperability, and digital identity.
- Translate emerging technical standards and architectural concepts into actionable product requirements and roadmap priorities.
- Support interoperability planning and adoption of relevant industry standards and trust frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Senior Product Manager with strong experience leading Agile, user-focused digital products and enterprise mobile applications.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional teams including developers, UX/UI, DevOps, architects, researchers, and security/identity specialists.
- Proven experience with product roadmaps, backlog prioritization, Agile ceremonies, KPIs, timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentations.
- Strong technical background with hands-on software development and/or architecture experience.
- Experience with modern mobile technologies such as Kotlin, Swift, or React Native and backend technologies such as Node.js, Go, or Python.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, system design, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), and mobile application architecture.
- Experience evaluating technical feasibility, solution options, risks, trade-offs, and dependencies with engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of digital identity and digital credentials, including wallets, issuers, holders, verifiers, and trust frameworks.
- Knowledge of W3C Verifiable Credentials, DIDs, PCTF, NIST, and/or eIDAS is highly preferred.
- Ability to translate technical concepts such as attestation, credential binding, revocation, and secure exchanges into clear product requirements.
- Experience supporting interoperability, standards adoption, and digital identity ecosystem initiatives.
