University Department: Scientist, Third Party Grants This posting is to fill a current vacancy. This position will provide support for a range of projects related to measuring the burden of antimicrobial resistance, and implementing stewardship interventions and other approaches for addressing antimicrobial resistance in Ontario. Specifically, the position is to provide support to implement research projects relating to the measuring the public health impacts of antimicrobial resistance, and designing antimicrobial stewardship interventions. preparation of presentation materials, updating an internal SharePoint website, maintaining files and contact lists, organizing meetings, managing registrations, coordinating various types of submissions, transfer payments to recipient organizations, as well as development of workplans and activity reports.
Accountable for preparing for and supporting managers, team, investigator and advisory committee meetings, by coordinating logistics including speaker management, travel and catering, and taking minutes. Skill and the ability to work in a matrix management structure and within cross disciplinary teams. Planning, organizing, project management skills and initiative in order to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
Skill and ability to approach and manage assignments in a fast-paced environment. annual Schedule A, workplan development and performance activity reports); Contract and budget coordination and numeracy skills, to coordinate budget and quarterly financial reporting templates with the Finance.
Customer
Service orientation, tact, diplomacy, and experience in communicating with a variety of stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in public health, social science or a related discipline.
~1-3 years' experience at a provincial agency, ministry, or university related to core content areas such as research, health promotion and the primary prevention of chronic diseases and injury is required. ~ Office computer and data management skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project); familiarity with SharePoint in order to manage documents and processes on SharePoint. Oral and written communication skills to draft meeting minutes, commentary, reports, summaries and presentations as well as to maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, networks and partners.
Client service and relationship building skills are required, such as to facilitate and organize meetings, create terms of reference, and maintain communication among study partners. Contributes to regular updates on projects, programs and research activities for inclusion on the PHO's website, therefore, providing access to accurate, timely and current data/information. Supports continuous quality improvement approaches to the area of responsibility (e.g, supports the development and integration of business delivery solutions and systems/tools, including a customer relationship management database).
Judgement and analytical skills are required in monitoring, analyzing and evaluating results relating to transfer payment and preparing reports and other materials.
