Role Description The Project Accountant is a full-time, in office role based in Lloydminster, AB. This role oversees project-related financial activities, including preparing and monitoring budgets, tracking job costs, and ensuring accurate allocation of expenses to specific projects.
The Project
Accountant reviews and processes invoices, supports billing and payment applications, reconciles project accounts, and assists with month-end and year-end reporting.
The role includes close collaboration with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to provide timely financial insights, identify variances, and support decision-making.

Accountant also helps maintain internal controls, complies with company policies and accounting standards, and contributes to process improvements in project accounting and reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong project accounting and general accounting skills, including job cost tracking, budget preparation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of construction or manufacturing industry financial practices, with experience in project-based environments considered an asset.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, operations teams, and external partners.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting coursework or designation (e.g., CPA in progress or completed) is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site in Lloydminster, AB, and maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
