Project Designer – Water & Wastewater Systems

As a Project Designer, you'll develop complete packages for custom water and wastewater treatment systems and follow those projects from concept through fabrication, commissioning, and startup.

You'll work alongside manufacturing, automation, process, and mechanical subject matter experts to solve real-world problems—not just produce calculations.

What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for developing the deliverables required to successfully execute water and wastewater treatment projects, including:

- Develop complete design packages from concept through fabrication.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, piping design, and equipment selection.
- Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs;, General Arrangement drawings, and technical documentation.
- Develop process and mechanical designs for municipal and industrial treatment systems.
- Collaborate with automation, electrical, structural, manufacturing, and project teams.
- Work with other Subject Matter Experts to develop practical solutions.
- Support fabrication, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup.
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with external engineers to provide stamped drawing packages when required by our clients.
- Assist with technical proposals and estimating.

What We're Looking For

Required

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process,



Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of design or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with hydraulic calculations, pump selection, piping design, turn-key systems, or related water/wastewater applications.
- Experience developing design drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

We'd Love To See

- Water or wastewater treatment experience.
- Design-build or OEM project experience.
- MBBR, MBR, UF, or RO treatment experience.
- Commissioning and startup experience.
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience.
