Enhance political communications at the Public Service Alliance of Canada in Ottawa with a full time, bilingual role. This officer position emphasizes the importance of political advocacy and effective communication across diverse media platforms. As a Political Communications Officer, you will assist the Regional Executive Vice-President in representing PSAC’s mission.
This role requires a diploma in communications or a related area, coupled with three years of practical experience. Knowledge of government processes and media relations will be key in articulating the union's stance on various issues. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the REVP in executing political communication strategies
- Establish and nurture media relationships
- Design and develop communication materials in both languages
- Strategize for member engagement and mobilization
- Analyze and report on relevant political issues Requirements:
- Bilingual (English, French) at CEFR Level B2
- Educational background in communications, public relations, or journalism
- Minimum of three years related professional experience
- Understanding of the Canadian political landscape
