Secret Media Co. is a boutique full-service marketing and public relations agency working with brands and businesses across the GTA.

Our work spans public relations, social media management, content asset creation, influencer marketing, traditional marketing, copywriting, SEO, branding, digital strategy, email marketing, website content, and more.

We are looking for a creative, organized, and motivated Digital Marketing & Agency Intern who is interested in gaining hands-on experience inside a fast-paced agency setting.

Rather than hiring for one highly specific internship function, we are looking for someone who is excited to learn across different areas of the agency. Based on the successful candidate’s strengths, interests, academic program, and areas of potential, we will develop a more dedicated internship role and set of responsibilities that allows them to gain meaningful experience while contributing to real client work.

Areas You May Gain Experience In

Depending on your background and strengths, your internship may include exposure to:

- Social media strategy, management, and content planning
- Public relations, media research, pitching, and outreach
- Influencer and creator marketing
- Content creation and content asset planning
- Copywriting for social media, websites, blogs, newsletters, and campaigns
- SEO research and content optimization
- Branding and digital marketing strategy
- Traditional marketing initiatives
- Email marketing and campaign development
- Client research and competitive analysis
- Marketing trends and industry research
- Content days, client meetings, launches, and events
- Campaign coordination and project management
- Administrative and organizational support across client accounts

What We’re Looking For

- Currently enrolled in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Media, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related post-secondary program
- Must be eligible to complete an unpaid internship or placement for academic credit through their school program




- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Creative, proactive, and interested in learning
- Strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Interest in marketing, branding, media, content, and digital strategy
- Experience with Canva is an asset
- Photography, videography, editing, graphic design, writing, or content creation experience is an asset
- Previous agency, marketing, communications, or customer-facing experience is an asset, but not required

Internship Structure This is an unpaid internship intended for students completing an internship, co-op, or placement for academic credit through their post-secondary program.

We understand that students may come into the agency with different skill sets and career interests. During the selection process, we will evaluate where each candidate could be the strongest fit within Secret Media Co.

For the successful candidate, we will create a more defined internship focus based on their:

- Strengths and existing skills
- Career interests
- Academic program requirements
- Areas they would benefit from developing
- Current agency and client needs

This allows the internship to provide broader agency exposure while also giving the student an opportunity to develop deeper experience in areas that align with their future career. There may be an opportunity to be considered for future paid employment with Secret Media Co. following the internship, based on performance, fit, and business needs.
