An Automotive parts manufacturer in Woodstock, ON is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent to join their team. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of production/manufacturing industry purchasing/Procurement experience. This is a full-time, permanent, and comes with a great benefit package.

Responsibilities of Purchasing Agent:

- Managed supplier relationships and sourcing activities for assigned commodities.
- Led RFQ processes, supplier selection, cost analysis, and business award recommendations.
- Negotiated pricing, service levels, and annual cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and value engineering.
- Developed purchasing strategies and supported cross-functional projects with Engineering and Production teams.
- Conducted supplier performance reviews, site visits, and assessments to improve quality, productivity, and cost competitiveness.
- Monitored project progress and reported performance metrics using continuous improvement (PDCA) methodology.




- Reviewed customer specifications and technical drawings to ensure supplier compliance and product requirements.

Qualifications of Purchasing Agent:

- At least 2+ year of experience in supply chain coordination, purchasing at manufacturing or industrial supplier industry
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication and related field preferred
- No travel restriction to US facility
- Experience with ERP software - MS Dynamics, SAP, AS400 etc. is a big plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Ability to be flexible to work effectively with a wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural workplace
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties time efficiently
- Team-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivated
