Please note, this position is located in Onoway, Alberta and you will be expected to commute to site daily.
Job Purpose The QC Turnover Administrator supports the Quality Control and Turnover Departments through the organization, review, tracking, and compilation of project quality documentation.
This position plays an important role in ensuring project documentation is complete, accurate, traceable, and properly organized throughout project execution and prior to final turnover submission.
The QC Turnover Administrator works closely with QC Inspectors, Turnover, Construction, Project Management, Document Control, and other project personnel to identify missing or incomplete documentation and support timely project closeout
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform daily administrative tasks which include but are not limited to scanning documentation into applicable job folders
- Compile, organize, and maintain quality documentation for project turnover packages
- Monitor project documentation throughout execution to ensure required records are being received and properly filed.
- Support the coordination and tracking of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) requests and documentation, as required
- Assist with maintaining weld tracking and NDE logs, as required
- Transfer and verify applicable information from shop drawings, weld maps, logs, and other project documentation
- Assist with reviewing turnover documentation for completeness, accuracy, traceability, and revision status
- Additional general Quality Control record keeping and data management
- Additional duties as assigned (ie.
participation in process improvement)
Requirements
- High School Diploma is mandatory
- CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector certification is an asset
- Previous experience in a QC office is preferred
- Previous experience with QC Turnover or project closeout documentation is an asset
- Previous welding, pipefitting or fabrication shop experience an asset
- Working knowledge of MS office applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of commitment to documentation accuracy.
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn company, client, project, and Quality Control documentation requirements
