Assisting patients with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting. Helping patients with eating, drinking and mobility. Supporting patients with emotional and social needs. Monitoring and recording observations such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration and oxygen saturation where trained.
Assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care and clinical procedures. Maintaining accurate patient records and reporting and changes in a patient's condition. Following infection prevention and control procedures.
Promoting patient dignity, privacy and independence. Adhering to health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
