Build Something Remarkable in the Okanagan The Okanagan Gondola is seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to join our maintenance team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a landmark tourism destination while helping ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a world-class gondola system and mountain facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulic systems, conveyors, and other rotating equipment.
- Support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the gondola system and associated infrastructure.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Complete inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturer requirements, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and work orders through the maintenance management system.
- Participate in seasonal start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with new equipment installations and facility expansion projects as required.

Required Qualifications

- Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) Certification.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.




- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with hydraulic and mechanical power transmission systems.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ropeways, ski lifts, gondolas, amusement rides, mining, forestry, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial equipment.
- Welding, fabrication, or machining experience.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Fall protection, elevated work platform, or confined space training.
