Purpose

Works with Regional Senior Vice President, Regional Vice President and National Director, Business Banking Distribution on developing and executing sales management activities focused on building profitable Business Banking growth within the Region.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of 9 Team Leads across Ontario Region and for building and co-ordinating the sales management and coaching activities of the Team Leads as they coach, and sales manage Business Advisors and Branch Managers to achieve their goals. It requires both extensive travel throughout Ontario markets and working with various business line partners. It works closely with both the Senior Leadership team in Ontario Region and National Business Banking team

Accountabilities

- Lead and coach a team of 9 Team Leads across Ontario to drive business growth and sales performance.
- Develop and execute regional Business Banking strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Foster a client-focused culture that deepens relationships and enhances client outcomes.
- Drive profitable growth of the Business Banking portfolio and expand business owner relationships across Retail Banking.
- Partner with Regional and District leadership teams to establish and achieve market growth objectives.
- Provide strategic sales leadership, coaching, and performance management across the region.
- Champion best practices in sales execution, coaching effectiveness, and client relationship management.
- Act as a senior escalation point on complex business banking and credit matters.
- Identify market opportunities, industry trends,



and competitive insights to inform regional strategies.
- Lead recruitment, development, and succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Design and implement training and capability-building initiatives to strengthen team performance.
- Monitor business results, coaching effectiveness, and sales trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to optimize resource deployment and maximize market coverage.
- Ensure operational excellence through adherence to risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and sustain a high-performance, inclusive culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

Education and Experience

- University/college degree or work equivalency
- Expert knowledge of the Bank’s Business Banking products and services, including the supporting systems such as Scotia Business Hub, Salesforce, Scotiaworx, SBP 360 and Sales Builder.
- Expert knowledge of the Bank’s Business Banking tools and resources, such as Resource Centre for business and the Moody's Small Business Certification program.
- Knowledge of credit processes and policies, including ACE/Scotiaworx and GRM
- Knowledge of Business Banking products and services offered by other financial institutions and niche competitors

Working Conditions

- Most time is spent in branches rather than working in a standard office workplace,



therefore there is a risk of exposure to hold-ups, extortion, etc.
- Role requires both extensive travel throughout Ontario markets and working with various business line partners.
- Travels daily within the Region, primarily by car but may also take periodic domestic air flights. Due to the geographic size of some Regions, overnight stays may be required.
- Non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
