Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Regional Manager for our Patient Service Centers to oversee daily operations across multiple Alpha Laboratories locations in the west - Etobicoke to Hamilton. In this role, you will coordinate staffing, support Medical Laboratory Assistants, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered laboratory services.
As the first point of contact for operational and personnel matters within your region, you will manage scheduling, performance, compliance, and staff engagement. You will also support onboarding, monitor clinical standards, and collaborate with leadership to implement regional strategies that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate for the role is a Senior Medical lab Assistant with over 6 years of experience on the front line and with some leadership/ supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Provide active leadership and development to all direct and indirect reports, ensuring all individual and team accountabilities are delivered through annual performance programs and that individual performance issues are addressed.
- Manage annual operating budgets for the region. Manage the team toward consistent attainment of annual operating budget and goals.
- Development and management of the business recovery plans.
- Manage financials and capitol requirements for the region and segment of patient services. Develop cost-effective operations that optimize financial plans and support service, quality and cost KPIs.
- Manage regional collection processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within regulatory accreditation and quality requirements including EH&S;, IQMH and delivery standards.
- Manage Information and reporting (Provincial directives, SOP’s, KPI’s) to ensure effective communication and promote sustainability of the region...
- Develop and implement regional strategies, ensuring participation and contribution by the regional team in order to meet the business plan/strategy.
- Lead and support system wide continuous quality improvements.
- Ensure compliance with privacy legislation and internal policies.
- Work collaboratively with other Regional managers to share and implement proven strategies for growth and efficiency
- Ensure the correct management of document control.
- Ensure completion of Paradigm action items to be updated with latest SOPs, correct usage of forms and other policy adherence.
Customer Service
- Build relationships and manage service levels with local/regional external clients.
- Manage regional operations in support of Service Excellence initiatives.

Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in a laboratory setting, including experience as a Lab Technician (Phlebotomist) or in a relevant technical or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with experience overseeing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 3-5 years leadership experience managing a team and a function preferred
