Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) – Supervisor & Daycare Administrator

LadyBug Daycare is looking for an experienced and responsible Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team in a Supervisor/Daycare Administrator role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the daycare, while ensuring a warm, secure, and positive environment for the children, families, and staff.

We are looking for someone with 3+ years of RECE experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the confidence to take a leadership role in a licensed childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the daycare
- Welcome and communicate with prospective families and respond to new inquiries
- Conduct tours and assist families with the registration and enrollment process
- Maintain accurate child registration, enrollment, attendance, and other required records
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding their children's care and daycare matters
- Manage and maintain daycare paperwork, files, forms, and documentation
- Ensure required records and documentation are kept up to date
- Prepare and organize staff schedules and daily staffing requirements
- Support, supervise, and coordinate daycare staff & placement students
- Assist staff with daily classroom routines and ensure smooth operation of the program
- Help maintain Ministry of Education licensing requirements and daycare policies
- Support staff with program planning, routines, and daily responsibilities
- Address parent and staff concerns in a professional and respectful manner
- Assist with staff meetings, training, orientation, and onboarding of new employees




- Monitor the overall cleanliness, safety, and organization of the daycare
- Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional environment for children, families, and staff
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as required

Qualifications

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed childcare setting
- Previous supervisory, administrative, or leadership experience is an asset
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with parents, staff, and prospective families
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Knowledge of Ontario childcare licensing requirements is an asset
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Vulnerable Sector Check and immunization/health documentation as required by the Ministry of Education
