Advance your nursing career with the Registered Nurse Specialty Training Program at Island Health. This full-time opportunity offers essential training for specialized roles in healthcare. As a participant in this full-time temporary role, you will receive focused training to support your transition into a specialty nursing position.
Theory and practicum experiences are provided in office at Port McNeill Hospital while your home site is Port Hardy Hospital. Post-training, you will enter a regular rotation in your designated specialty area, enhancing your nursing proficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents
- Follow established nursing philosophies and guidelines
- Report directly to the Nurse Manager or designate
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards and safety protocols
- Collaborate to ensure quality patient care Requirements:
- Registration as an RN with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
- Recent experience in medical and/or surgical settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload effectively
