We are looking for a compassionate Full-time Registered Veterinary Technician for our veterinary practice in Winnipeg. We are committed to the highest standards of patient care with new technologies, advanced diagnostics, and modern facilities including digital X-ray, and in- house lab testing. We are an animal hospital that provides veterinary services for dogs and cats with a supportive team environment which is focused on the well being and work/life balance of the staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
- Prepare animals for treatment by safely restraining and calming them to ensure their comfort and safety
- Collect laboratory samples such as blood, urine, or tissue for testing, ensuring proper handling and documentation
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinarian supervision following established protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records, update medical charts, and document all procedures thoroughly
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
- Support inventory management by stocking supplies, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring cleanliness of the treatment area
Requirements
- Proven laboratory experience or familiarity with laboratory procedures is highly desirable
- Robust understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and common veterinary practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks required in veterinary settings

Pay: $27.00-$31.00 per hour
