Killarney Veterinary Clinic is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our two-doctor mixed animal practice.

We are a busy, well-established mixed animal practice with an excellent support team and a diverse caseload. Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technologist enjoys working with both clients and animals, takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, and is comfortable working as part of a collaborative veterinary team.

About the Position

As a Registered Veterinary Technologist, you will play an important role in supporting our veterinarians and veterinary team in the day-to-day operation of the practice. The position offers variety and the opportunity to gain experience working with both small and large animal patients.

Responsibilities may include

- Providing skilled nursing care and monitoring of hospitalized, surgical, and recovering patients
- Assisting veterinarians with appointments, treatments, procedures, and surgeries
- Performing technical procedures within the scope of RVT practice
- Safely handling and restraining small and large animal patients
- Anesthetizing and monitoring surgical patients
- Performing laboratory procedures, including bloodwork, urinalysis, cytology, and other in-house diagnostics
- Performing and assisting with radiographs and other diagnostic imaging
- Assisting with dental procedures and dental radiography
- Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures
- Maintaining accurate and complete medical records
- Providing client education regarding patient care, medications, nutrition, and preventative health




- Administering medications and treatments as directed
- Maintaining, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical and medical equipment
- Monitoring inventory and ensuring supplies are stocked and organized
- Assisting with large animal procedures, treatments, and handling
- Supporting veterinarians and the entire veterinary team wherever needed
- Assisting our Customer Service Representatives with providing friendly, professional, and compassionate service to clients

The Ideal Candidate We’re Looking for Is:

- A Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) in good standing (Required) – NEW GRADS WELCOME & ENCOURAGED TO APPLY

Hours & Schedule This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position. Regular hours will be scheduled within the clinic’s normal weekday operating hours. The schedule will provide a consistent Monday–Friday workweek while supporting the needs of a busy mixed animal practice.

Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of patients, veterinarians, or the practice.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Experience:
