The Account
Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned OEM customers, including CNH and John Deere, supporting customers within the agriculture manufacturing sector and ensuring a seamless customer experience from order receipt through delivery. This role is responsible for customer account ownership and works closely with customers and internal departments to coordinate orders, resolve issues, communicate updates, and ensure customer requirements are met accurately and on time. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong customer relationships while taking ownership of the day-to-day activities required to support assigned accounts.
This is a hands-on role requiring daily interaction with customers, production, quality, logistics, procurement, estimating, and administration teams.
The Account
Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate customer records, documenting customer interactions, tracking commitments and action items, and ensuring effective communication and coordination across the organization Customer Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned OEM customer accounts, responding to inquiries and providing timely updates. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers through professional, responsive, and reliable service. Act as the customer's advocate by coordinating with internal departments to resolve issues and address concerns.
Manage customer communications related to orders, deliveries, production schedules, engineering changes, and other account-related activities. Accurately document customer interactions, commitments, action items, and account activity within Salesforce and company systems. Conduct regular customer touchpoints to review open items, production schedules, delivery commitments, ongoing requirements, and customer concerns.
Monitor account performance and identify opportunities to improve customer service and operational effectiveness. Order & Account Coordination Manage the customer order lifecycle from order placement through production and delivery. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements, schedules, and changes are communicated accurately and acted upon promptly.
Work closely with Administration on order entry, order confirmations, account documentation, and customer requests. Proactively communicate order updates, delays, or schedule changes to customers. Ensure customer-required documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time, including purchase order acknowledgements, mill test certificates, shipping documentation, and other customer requirements.
Maintain customer files, records, and account documentation according to company standards. Maintain and update Rolling Action Item Lists (RAILs) for assigned accounts on a daily basis. Support customer portal management and ensure information remains current and accurate.
Coordinate engineering revisions, PPAP submissions, and related customer requirements with Quality Assurance and internal departments. Maintain established OEM customer folder structures and ensure documentation is organized and accessible. Work with estimating and administrative teams to maintain and submit PCA documentation as required.
Support the management of material agreements and long‑term agreements (LTAs). Partner with estimating to prepare and submit pricing workups and related customer documentation. Support the administration and maintenance of customer material agreements.
Coordinate pricing submissions and customer documentation through JDSN and other required customer systems. Work closely with Production Planning and Scheduling to align customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities. Collaborate with Procurement and Commodity Management on strategic material planning and sourcing activities to support customer requirements.
Coordinate with Logistics to ensure products are shipped accurately and on schedule. Partner with Quality Assurance to address customer complaints, returns, warranty concerns, corrective actions, PPAPs, and engineering revisions. Work closely with Estimating, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to support new product introductions and ongoing customer requirements.
Participate in regular internal meetings to review customer priorities, schedules, risks, and open issues. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Comply with all company policies, procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with customers, management, and colleagues. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Fluency in English, including strong verbal and written communication skills. ~3 to 5 years of experience in account management, customer service, customer support, order management, inside sales, program coordination, or a related role. ~ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, customer requests, and deadlines simultaneously. ~ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word. ~ Experience using ERP systems, CRM platforms, Salesforce, or other customer management software.
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations‑focused environment.
Experience supporting OEM or industrial customers.
Experience coordinating customer orders, production schedules, and delivery requirements. Familiarity with quality documentation, engineering changes, PPAP processes, customer portals, and manufacturing workflows. Aptitude for understanding technical and functional product features and their applications.
